On Sunday, September 8, the veterinary staff of Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital came together to participate in the second annual Battle of the Vet Hospital Stars. This fundraiser, which was hosted by the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital and Antech Diagnostics, raised a grand total of $12,300 for PetAid Colorado.
About the Battle
The Battle of the Vet Hospital Stars is fun-filled day of crazy costumes and silly games, where vets team-up to represent their hospitals and battle one another on the field for fabulous prizes and bragging rights, all for a great cause.
This year, Columbine Animal Hospital took down reigning champs Coal Creek Veterinary Hospital for the grand title, with Deer Creek Animal Hospital taking second and GoldenView Veterinary Hospital taking third. The Seven Hills team had a great day on the course and we are already looking forward to next year’s event!
Although we weren’t victorious, our team had a blast raising funds for PetAid Colorado and supporting all they do for underprivileged Colorado pets in crisis.
About PetAid Colorado
PetAid Colorado is a 501(c) (3) dedicated to providing underprivileged and at-risk pets across Colorado with the healthcare they need and deserve so that they may remain bonded to their human companions when faced with an illness or emergency.
To do this, PetAid Colorado has the following organizational goals:
- To provide quality, comprehensive, and compassionate donor-subsidized veterinary care while promoting the humane treatment of animals
- To provide veterinary care for pets of individuals who have personal barriers to receiving care in a veterinary clinic setting and live on fixed incomes
- To reduce pet overpopulation and promote responsible care of companion animals
- To recognize, highlight, and celebrate the human-animal bond
- To provide disaster preparedness and response services to benefit pets and people
This amazing organization is worthy of our community’s support and we were proud to participate alongside our professional peers in raising funds for this great cause.
