This administrative position is perfect for the veterinary technician that seeks to utilize their skill set beyond that of direct patient care. This full-time position will include a variety of responsibilities related to inventory and supply. It includes interactions with team members, clients, vendors, and other professionals.
Signing and retention Bonus: $2,000.00
We are a privately owned General/Urgent Care/Emergency 24-7 AAHA accredited practice since 1985. Our inventory management system is digital. Inventory Specialist shall be responsible for monitoring and maintaining approved inventory levels in the hospital and maintaining adequate supplies for optimal patient care while adhering to budgetary guidelines. Inventory Specialist is responsible for ordering all drugs and supplies, which may include but are not limited to: medical supplies, controlled substances, janitorial supplies, office supplies, diets, and over-the-counter items.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing periodic inventory cycle counts and ensuring the accuracy of the inventory in the practice management database.
- Scheduling routine or urgent medical equipment maintenance, upgrades, or repairs, and maintains organized maintenance/repair documentation.
- Training team members regarding new products, services, or industry updates.
- Maintaining equipment training records for the team.
- Initial and ongoing OSHA training and compliance.
Education & Experience Required: CVT (or equivalent) preferred; Associate's Degree, or at least 2 years related experience and or/training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements: Capable of the following physical movements on a continual basis: standing, walking, stooping or kneeling, talking, and hearing.
Able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds without assistance.
Vision requirements: Close and normal vision, color vision, depth perception.
